I felt connected to water right after Huricane Irene when the Otter Creek overflowed its banks. Realizing that all that water would end up in Lake Champlain helped me understand how connected we are.

RIGHT AT HOME. I've been here for 8 years and I don't believe I will ever leave. My husband and I were married on the shores of Lake Champlain in the early morning of the summer solstice. I will never forget the way the lake looked that day. It always makes me happy to be near the lake.

calm and serene,I feel the warm soothing breeze nuzzle my cheeks I am home. See the majestic purple mountains in the distance and I know that life is good. Hear the water churn and quake. As my boat rocks back and forth. Sometimes silence is the best noise of all.I think to myself what a wonderful world. With birds chirping melodies in the warm July sun, my friends and family by myside. That warm sun kisses my cheeks and leaves a piece of its glory year round.I love Vermont.Vermont is home.
