The Jetty

This contributor to the Voices for the Lake exhibit at ECHO responded to the prompt: What is your favorite memory of spending a day at the lake?

One of my favorite memeories of spending a day on Lake Champlain happened 3 years ago just as winter ended. I was there with my old roommate Sam, and we found this little Jetty that stuck out into the water. At the end of it there was a fire pit that still had embers in it. We found fire wood and stoked it back up into a fire. Later that weekend, I brought some of my other friends there and we roasted marshmellows and hot dogs. It became a yearly tradition for us. It was fantasitc.
